Netflix games cannot yet be played on Apple TV or other TV platforms; they are only available on the iPhone and iPad. Although the app is currently dormant, it promises that TV games are “coming soon to Netflix.”

Along with A, X, Y, and B action buttons on the right side, the app has a directional button on the left side of the iPhone’s screen. In 2021, Netflix first started offering games, and there are already more than 50 titles available.

There are no extra costs or in-app purchases associated with access; it is part of the Netflix subscription. Tomb Raider, Stranger Things, Bloons TD 6, World of Goo, Exploding Kittens, Heads Up, and Cut the Rope are just a few of the games available on Netflix.

According to TechCrunch, Netflix’s vice president of gaming Mike Verdu had said that the business was “exploring a cloud gaming offering” in October of last year. A new game studio would be established by the business in Southern California, under the direction of Chacko Sonny, a former executive producer for Overwatch at Blizzard Entertainment.

Additionally, Verdu had said that he did not see Netflix as a rival to PlayStation or Xbox. Leanne Loombe, Netflix’s vice president of external games, has previously discussed the company’s aspirations for cloud gaming. “We do think that providing that simple access to games on any screen will be made possible by cloud gaming. Overall, we want our users to be able to use any Netflix device to play games.

The business was seen developing an iPhone-based gaming controller in March.
